Dear Colleagues:

The access to the internet has become so easy to every one especially to our information professionals, the librarians, the high school and college students; yet, its use has not always been positive, constructive and valuable to them. Fortunately, guidelines on its access and use have been a continuing concern of the International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA) and the Freedom of Access to Information and Freedom of Expression (FAIFE) Committee. The Philippine Librarians’ Association has been designated to cascade the IFLA Internet Manifesto in our country.

We are, therefore, pleased to invite your librarians and Information Technology Personnel to a two-day seminar on the IFLA Internet Manifesto on September 3 and 4, 2009 at the Aula Maria Hall of the Apo Pilo Building of Saint Mary’s University, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.

The seminar fee for live-in (one-night) is P1,000.00 and P750.00 for live-out participants. The fee includes 2 lunches, 4 snacks and certificates.

The Cagayan Valley Region Librarians Council (CaVRLC) has requested CHED and DepEd 02 the permission to hold this seminar and to allow the participants to attend on Official Business.

Respectfully yours,

ENRIQUE T. CAYABAN

Council President
